Three 6 Mafia Wants Suit Dropped

Three 6 Mafia has asked a judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed by a man who claims he was severely beaten at one of the rap group’s concerts in 2003.

Ramone Williams claims he was thrown to the floor, hit with a chair, stomped on and kicked in the face at a Pittsburgh club when the fans followed lyrics of the group’s song “Let’s Start A Riot.”

His injuries included a fractured jaw.

Williams won a default judgment against the now-defunct club.

An attorney for the group filed a motion in late August in Allegheny County Court saying there is no “genuine issue of material fact” to the complaint, and that the lyrics are protected under constitutional free speech rights.
