Fire Burns Stoll Vaughan’s Guitars

Stoll Vaughan, who is supporting the Def Leppard/Journey tour, watched his RV go up in flames while it was being towed outside Atlantic City September 22nd.

Vaughan lost his Gibson 1955 LG1 along with songbooks, cameras and a personal computer in the fire. A Gibson Hummingbird was salvaged but charred. The bands and crews took up a collection to help him cut his losses, and Vaughan has been borrowing guitars from the headliners.

“You can’t lose your songs, they’re ingrained in your psyche – at least the good ones are,” he said in a statement. “The bad ones were meant to be lost.”

Vaughan recently released his sophomore album, Love Like a Mule.
