Jay-Z No-Go In Shanghai

Jay-Z won’t be playing an October 23rd concert in Shanghai, China, according to promoter KS Production Co.

“Some of Jay-Z’s songs contain too much vulgar language,” the company told the state-run Shanghai Daily, explaining China’s Culture Ministry’s alleged refusal to permit Jay-Z’s visit.

The concert would have been Hova’s debut in China. Two bands with suggestive lyrics have recently played the country: Black Eyed Peas and The Rolling Stones.
