+44 Confusion

The band Plus 44, formed by Blink-182’s Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus, goes by many names.

However, “+” is a reserved symbol for most computer programs, and the band’s name can cause search problems for Web sites like Amazon.com and Itunes.com.

Therefore, the band’s name may appear sometimes as (+44) or Plus 44, as it does in Pollstar, but +44 is the official name.
