The Athens, Ga.-based band’s spring itinerary spans 55 dates in nearly as many cities, with three stops planned in San Francisco and two apiece in Los Angeles and New York City.

The tour is to launch January 19 at Hi-Tone in Memphis, covering the length of the lower 48 with a handful of stops in Canada – including, yes, Montreal. The group will hit two venues in Los Angeles January 26-27 – the El Rey Theatre and Avalon Hollywood, respectively.

In San Francisco, they’ll play a more intimate show at Bottom Of The Hill before a two-night stand at Great American Music Hall. Irving Plaza will host both NYC gigs.

A week-long break in late February and early March is the only significant gap in the schedule, which runs through April 2, wrapping at The Moon in Tallahassee, Fla.

Of Montreal will release a new album, Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer?, in January.
