The group will head south, then make its way to California and back to Warren, Mich., wrapping at The Ritz March 24.

The band’s spring 2006 tour was its first with new members Trish Doan (bass) and Tara Macleod (guitar), who joined founding members Morgan Lander (guitar/vocals) and Mercedes Lander (drums). The band also visited Puerto Rico in September.

Kittie’s fourth album, Funeral For Yesterday, is due February 20 on the band’s own label. The disc was recorded this summer with veteran metal/hard rock producer Jack Ponti.

“Starting our own label is an amazing feeling,” Morgan Lander said. “We have always been entrepreneurs of sorts, so this path really made sense.

“I cannot tell you how lucky we are that Jack chose to come out of retirement to do this album with us.”
