Hopewell Saying Farewell?

Martin Hopewell has further sparked rumours that he’s considering retirement by stepping down as managing director of Primary Talent International.

After 16 years at the helm, he’ll be replaced by Peter Elliott, a Primary agent and one of the company’s directors.

It wasn’t possible to get comment from Hopewell at press time, but he released a statement saying, "The Board is a strong team of highly talented and experienced individuals, and I know that they will do a great job."

He’s expected to continue at Primary Talent and will remain as agent for major acts including The Cure and Peter Gabriel.

He’s also expected to continue heading the team that runs the annual International Live Music Conference (ILMC).

This year’s ILMC is at London’s Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington March 9-11.
