We Only Sing When We’re Winning

The government has appointed composer and television presenter Howard Goodall to mastermind a plan to restore singing music education and singing in primary schools.

Goodall , composer of the theme music to "Blackadder" and "The Vicar of Dibley," has a £10 million budget.

The new initiative has been widely reported by papers including The Times, The Independent, The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph, although none of the stories has looked into why we stopped singing in the first place.

One reason could be the lamentable performances by the country’s sportsmen. Perhaps, as the soccer chant goes, we only sing when we’re winning.
