Billy Henderson Dies

Billy Henderson, one of the founding members of The Spinners, died February 2nd of complications from diabetes, his wife said.

The Spinners put out a string of Top 20 hits in the ’70s including "I’ll Be Around" and "Could It Be I’m Falling In Love." They were the second black musical group to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Poor health forced Henderson, 67, to stop touring with the band a few years ago, so his death doesn’t affect upcoming Spinners dates.
