The Swedish garage rockers will be accompanied by The Films on the tour, which runs from May 1-19, starting in San Francisco at Bottom of the Hill.

Cities on the itinerary include Seattle, Chicago, New York and Philadelphia, with T.T. The Bear’s in Cambridge, Mass., hosting the tour finale.

Mando Diao’s last U.S. visit was a brief promo tour in October 2005. The group is supporting its latest album, Ode To Ochrasy, released last year in Europe. The disc is available only as an import in the U.S.

The Films are currently touring Germany, where their album Don’t Dance Rattlesnake was released earlier this month. Stateside fans can get a sneak peek at the album via the Being Bored EP, out now on iTunes and through the group’s official online store.
