Lyon Goes Hocus Pocus

Industry vet Douglas Lyon has been appointed executive director of the Academy of Magical Arts.

Lyon is president of the Lyon Group, which manages Gay Blackstone, who is the president of the AMA.

Lyon has an extensive background in recorded music and tour marketing, but also has a strong background in magic, producing the stage show "Doug Henning’s World of Magic" as well as conceiving and producing "Unlock the Magic Tour – Starring Harry Blackstone Jr." and "Snoopy’s World of Magic," among other tours.

Lyon should also have no problem getting into The Magic Castle of Hollywood, the AMA’s clubhouse.
