The next round of shows kicks off May 5 at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, Calif., and so far is scheduled to make a dozen stops around the country including San Diego, Denver, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Atlanta and St. Louis.

For the uninitiated, Ralph’s World is the creation of indie rocker and songwriter Ralph Covert, the former frontman for Chicago popsters The Bad Example.

The music Covert creates for Ralph’s World features the same high energy and melody-laden approach that TBE was known for with one notable difference – the lyrics are geared toward the next generation of rockers.

The Ralph’s World tour is the first kids music tour ever produced by the folks at the House of Blues. Covert says that performing at rock ‘n’ roll venues provides parents and kids a shared experience. “It’s cool for the parents because it still has that authentic rock ‘n’ feel and it’s cool for the kids because they get to go somewhere they never would get to go.”
