Although the tour kicks off July 25, no city or venue has been announced for that show or a July 31 show because those two dates are radio sponsored events. Cities and venues for those shows will be announced in a couple of weeks.

Cities confirmed for the tour include Phoenix; Dallas; Atlanta; Tampa, Fla.; Virginia Beach, Va.; Toronto; Camden, N.J.; Syracuse, N.Y.; Tinley Park, Ill., and Englewood, Colo. Tickets for all shows, except July 25 and 31, go on sale May 19 and are available through www.livenation.com.

The lineup for the tour was personally selected by the members of Linkin Park to reflect a variety of music styles. Previous outings included Korn, Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill, Xzibit, Mudvayne, Adema, Blindside and DJ Z-Trip.

Along with efforts to make the tour a green enterprise, organizers will donate $1 from each ticket to American Forest’s Global ReLeaf program to plant trees to help reduce global warming.

Linkin Park’s third studio album, Minutes to Midnight, is due for release May 14 in the U.K. and May 15 in the U.S. The band debuted tracks from the album, including the first single, “What I’ve Done,” at this year’s Bamboozle Festival at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, N.J.
