Oh The Horrors!
U.K. goth garage rockers The Horrors, who were scheduled to support Black Rebel Motorcycle Club on their summer tour, will head out on their own to mark the U.S. release of their debut album, Strange House.
The band will ooze their way around the U.S. and Canada for a – wait for it – 13-date club tour beginning with a show June 4 at Luna Lounge in Brooklyn, N.Y. Other stops include the Rock N Roll Hotel in Washington, D.C. (June 8), the Mod Club in Toronto (June 11), Chicago’s Abbey Pub (June 14), El Rey in Los Angeles (June 18) and Seattle’s Crocodile (June 20).
The Horrors were formed in 2005 in a club in the basement (where else?) of a hotel in Southend, England. The band, which is made up of members Faris Rotter, Joshua Third, Tomethy Furse, Spider Webb and Coffin Joe, first gained the public’s attention with their single “Sheena Is A Parasite,” which featured a frenetic, gory video directed by Chris Cunningham.
