The tour kicks off July 2 at Milwaukee’s Summerfest and will hit festivals, theatres, clubs and sheds in 23 cities around the U.S. and Canada, including the Ottawa Blues Festival in Ontario (July 6), the Central Park Summerstage in New York (July 11), Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse (July 14), the House of Blues in San Diego (July 19), San Francisco’s Fillmore (July 21), The Depot in Salt Lake City (July 29), and Lollapalooza in Chicago’s Grant Park (August 3).

The Definitive Collection draws on all three of Kuti’s previous albums, as well as a duet with Rachid Taha on the song “Ala Jalkoum” and a remake of “Water No Get Enemy,” which was featured on the Red Hot and Riot album. The album also includes a bonus CD with 10 mixes of all things Femi Kuti.
