Mean Streets for Modest Mouse

Some say it’s best to watch your back but when Modest Mouse frontman Isaac Brock was in England a month ago, better advice might have been to watch your face.

Modest Mouse’s publicist told Pollstar the lead singer was struck in his left eye by an errant bottle, explaining photos of the frontman wearing an eye patch at a couple of the band’s recent shows.

Brock was hit in the face with a bottle chucked by an unknown person on the street in Nottingham, England, May 28th. He had successful surgery on his eye the following week.

Due to Brock’s surgery, the band was forced to cancel seven June shows in Europe, three of which were rescheduled for early July.
