The Broadway adaptation of the Mel Brooks movie classic "Young Frankenstein," co-produced by Brooks and Robert F.X. Sillerman, will be puttin’ on the ritz with a November 8th opening at the Hilton Theatre in New York City.
The musical version of the comedy is the second Brooks film adapted for Broadway, and expectations are high after the record-breaking success of Brooks’ "The Producers." Roger Bart as Dr. Frederick Frankenstein and Shuler Hensley as the monster headline the "Young Frankenstein" Broadway cast.
The musical is directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman, and will have an early test-run at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre August 7th through September 1st.
