Prior to kicking off the next round of dates, the band will appear at the Austin City Limits Music Festival September 15, and will tape an appearance that weekend for an episode of PBS’ “Austin City Limits” that will air in December.

The first dates on the new schedule are September 17 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo., and September 20 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The tour is expected to run through early October. More dates will be announced shortly.

LCD Soundsystem will open for the band on all dates.

A limited number of presale tickets are available through Arcade Fire’s web site until June 22. Regular ticket sales for Red Rocks begin June 23 and tickets for the Hollywood Bowl go on sale June 30.
