Property Of Umbrellas
Umbrellas kicked off their tour with a run up the West coast, beginning in Albuquerque. Next up, they’ll head to Colorado for a couple of shows and then spend the next few weeks hitting cities in the middle of the country, including Amarillo, Texas; Oklahoma City; Nashville and Columbus, Ohio.
East Coast stops on the band’s schedule include The Showplace in Buffalo, N.Y. (July 15), Webster Theatre / Underground in Hartford, Conn. (July 18), the Knitting Factory in New York (July 20), The Pour House Music Hall in Raleigh, N.C. (July 23), and Jack Rabbits in Jacksonville, Fla. (July 26).
Brooklyn quartet Lola Ray will open for the band on all of its July dates.
In August the Umbrellas will head back to the middle of the country for a handful of dates, including the House of Blues in Dallas (August 1), 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis (August 14) and Beat Kitchen in Chicago (August 25).
Frontman Scott Windsor said that making Property, which has a limited run of 500 and features a cover that was hand screen-printed by the band themselves, was a labor of love.
“We recently fulfilled our contract with the Militia Group and though we are still working closely with them on our latest release Illuminare, they are being kind enough to let us have free reign on this EP,” Windsor said.
“So it is really exciting to have complete control and do a short run of these things.”
