Antonio Aguilar Dies

Mariachi singer and actor Antonio Aguilar, 88, died of pneumonia in Mexico City June 20th.

Aguilar recorded more than 150 albums with his mariachi group and sold millions of records.

He was an innovator in the genre of charrería, which is a concert and rodeo production, and toured the U.S. in the ‘70s with his show.

He also appeared in 167 films and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2000.
