Brown The Pirate PM

New U.K. Prime Minister Gordon Brown marked his first day in office by refusing to tell reporters what he listens to on his mp3 player for fear of being accused of music piracy.

The former Chancellor of the Exchequer, who was once the subject of media disbelief and derision because his attempts at cool included claiming to be an Arctic Monkeys fan, said he was nearly charged for illegally downloading The Beatles’ music.

"Lots of the music I grew up with is on my iPod; Mowtown, Sinatra, and lots of sixties and seventies classics," he said. "The last time I was asked this, I mentioned The Beatles and some people tried to get me prosecuted for illegally downloading their albums so I won’t mention them."
