The band will launch the tour about a week before the release of the new album with a show September 5 at The Roxy in Boston and then spend the rest of the month hitting clubs and theatres in the U.S. and Canada. Stops include Le National in Montreal (September 6), the Vic Theatre in Chicago (September 10), The Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco (September 17), Emo’s in Austin (September 22), Variety Playhouse in Atlanta (September 26), the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. (September 28), and Webster Hall in New York (September 30 and October 1).
Some shows on the tour are all ages. Details, as well as tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
Jam, the band’s eighth full-length disc, is due for release September 10 in the U.K. and September 11 in the U.S., although the album was leaked online in July.
“Peacebone,” the first single from the CD, will be released August 21st in North America in 10″,12″, and CD formats with remixes from Black Dice and Pantha Du Prince, along with the non-LP cut “Safer.”
