“So You Think You Can Dance” has turned out to be quite a success for Fox, landing consistently in Nielsen’s top five.

Simon Fuller, who is the show’s creator and executive producer, as well as the power behind “American Idol,” said taking the program out on tour is a no-brainer, and he thinks audiences are in for some pleasant surprises.

“Viewing the contestants performing on television does not even come close to experiencing them in person,” Fuller said. “We look forward to having the country’s favorites hit the road, coming to a town near you.”
