The Queen will kick off her trek September 29 at the Majestic Theater in Dallas and will spend the next two months hitting theatres around the country, including Playhouse Square in Cleveland (October 5), the Palace Theater in Stamford, Conn. (October 9), the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center in Delaware (October 12), a pair of shows at the HighLine Ballroom in New York City (October 24), The Forum in Harrisburgh, Pa. (October 29), Beau Rivage Restaurant in Biloxi, Miss. (November 3), Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. (November 7), and the Mesa Art Center in Mesa, Ariz. (November 17).

Trav’lin’ Light, which is due for release September 25, is the follow up to 2004’s Grammy nominated The Dana Owens Album.

The disc is Queen Latifah’s first release on the legendary jazz imprint Verve and features production by Tommy LiPuma (Barbra Streisand, Diana Krall and Natalie Cole) and Ron Fair, along with guest appearances by Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Joe Sample, George Duke, Christian McBride and Stevie Wonder.

The singer cut the album in the famed Studio A at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles, which has hosted legends like Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Peggy Lee.
