The new dates, which focus on the Midwest, kick off October 11 at the University of Pittsburgh and run through the end of the month, with stops including Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio (October 13), Freedom Hall in Louisville, K.Y. (October 17), US Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, Ill. (October 20), and Qwest Center in Omaha, Neb. (October 26).

Presale tickets for the new dates are available through a password available from Dylan’s web site beginning September 4. Public ticket onsale dates vary and begin September 7.

Dylan, a career-spanning, three-CD retrospective of the singer’s music, will be released October 1. The collection chronicles four decades of Dylan’s career and includes 51 tracks chosen in part by fans who lobbied for their favorites through the web site dylan07.com.

Two additional versions of the set will be released at the same time. The first is a deluxe edition featuring the three discs in a cloth-covered case, an extensive booklet of classic and rare Dylan images and 10 limited edition postcards highlighting pivotal moments of the icon’s career. The second is a single-disc edition featuring 18 tracks.
