Cops Suspended After Concert Clash

Two off-duty Pittsburgh detectives arrested during a brawl with Hanover Township officers following a recent concert at the Post-Gazette Pavilion have been suspended indefinitely without pay.

Detectives Patrick Moffatt and Joseph Simunovich faced a slew of charges including aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and public drunkenness following a Toby Keith show August 18th. Simunovich made "aggressive actions and attempted to assault" one of the on-duty Hanover officers, while Moffatt allegedly tackled and choked another on-duty officer, according to police reports.

Although the detectives were originally reassigned to uniformed street duty pending the outcome of their cases, state law reportedly requires suspension.
