Thankfully, we made it through the day with hardly an injury. Sure, there were the scraped knuckles, the dislocated elbows and the second degree burns that are inherent in a business such as ours. But that comes with the territory, and all the injuries occurred during a normal business day at Pollstar.com hardly compare to the rewards we reap by bringing you new shows for your favorite artists.

For instance, one of our data experts sprained her ankle while entering the new dates for Adema. But that happens whenever one of our staffers enters three dates right in a row for Pennsylvania. So, she knew what she was getting into when she signed on.

Then there’s the “Victory Records Tour” featuring bands like Bayside, June, A Day To Remember, Driver Side Impact and The Sleeping. Tour specialist Fred R. was lucky this time. Only one smashed kneecap. “It only hurts when I breathe,” said Fred as he limped over to the Pollstar infirmary. Oh, if only more people were like him.

By mid afternoon our staff was definitely on fire. Literally, that is. But they managed to slam dates into the system for David Copperfield, Aimee Mann and the “Adult Swim National College Tour” while waiting for the fire department.
