Prince Accused Of Gizmo Grabbing

A Los Angeles man has filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court against Prince, claiming the musician took 12 small computer system interface, or SCSI, drives, worth $12,000 and caused $25,000 in damage to another computer.

Ian Lewis seeks reimbursement for the loss – and $1 million in punitive damages for good measure.

The suit, filed October 16th, charges Prince, Paisley Park Enterprises, NPGMC and unnamed defendants with breach of contract.

Lewis claims Prince converted the equipment for his personal use and has repeatedly refused to return it in an act that is "willful, wanton, malicious, and oppressive" and "undertaken with the intent to defraud," justifying punitive damages, according to court documents.
