Dates, Dates & More Dates …

The perpetual date-making machine known as Bon Jovi keeps adding shows to the schedule. Latest additions include dates in Minnesota, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, Norway and Denmark.

Asylum Street Spankers will play NYC all through January. Be sure to see our special feature on this event – The Big Apple Gets Spanked – coming up later tonight.

Birds Of Avalon add Belgium and Netherlands shows; Angelique Kidjo slots VA and GA for March and Cherish The Ladies will cherish VA, MO, CO and IA in ’08.

Henry Butler adds an Amsterdam date for March; Magic Slim & The Teardrops get to go to Hawaii next year while we sit here and write about the band going to Hawaii and Steve Forbert adds a California date for next August.

It was an exciting day for all concerned. But then, how many other days start off with a new string of dates for Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band and a Euro tour for Santana? But that’s how the tour data biz goes. Sometimes a day is filled with big announcements and other times it’s just an endless list of dates, cities and venues along with promoters wanting to buy us lunch.

In a nutshell …

Today we updated the schedules for Reel Big Fish, Scout Niblett, Matt Costa, Norma Jean, Okkervil River, Papa Roach, Paramore, Marilyn Manson, KISS, Lifehouse, Leon Redbone, Josh Grider, Judy Collins, Joan Osborne, Harper, Gil Mantera’s Party Dream, Drowning Pool, Chuck Prophet, Chris Botti, British Sea Power, Brandon Rhyder plus more artists and bands than Axl Rose has excuses for not releasing Chinese Democracy.

And that’s going to do it for today. Have a great evening and we’ll be back here bright and early tomorrow to do it all over again. Adios!
