“Over the holidays, Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, was under doctor’s care at a Detroit-area hospital for complications due to pneumonia,” the rapper’s publicist, Dennis Dennehy, told Pollstar. “He has since been released and is doing well recovering at home.”

Dennehy also quashed rumors that the 35-year-old singer is suffering from something more severe than pneumonia.

“Despite reports to the contrary, Eminem is not suffering from any heart problems,” he said.

Mathers rose to stardom in the ’90s thanks to a number of best-selling CDs and a starring role in 2002’s semi-autobiographical film “8 Mile.”

He has won several Grammys, including best rap album for The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show, as well as an Oscar for the song “Lose Yourself” from “8 Mile.”
