Appetite For Chinese Carbonation

Apparently Axl Rose wants to be a Pepper, too.

Dr. Pepper confirmed it has struck a marketing deal with Guns N’ Roses and will give a can of the soft drink to "everyone in America, except estranged GNR guitarists Slash and Buckethead" if Chinese Democracy ships in 2008.

"Dr. Pepper supports Axl, and fully understands that sometimes you have to make it through the jungle before you get it right," the company said in a press release posted to the band’s official Web site.

When contacted by Pollstar, a spokeswoman for the beverage maker confirmed the legitimacy of the statement, adding "we are very excited about this marketing collaboration with Guns N’ Roses." Quick, how many Tuesdays are left in 2008?
