Umphrey's McGee And STS9 Join Forces

Road-warriors Sound Tribe Sector 9 and Umphrey’s McGee have announced they’ll team up this summer for a co-headlining jaunt that features extended sets by both bands.

The run kicks off July 10 at Willow Island Centre in Madison, Wisc., and wraps with a pair of shows August 1-2 at Masquerade Music Park in Atlanta.

Other stops include Westfair Amphitheatre in Council Bluffs, Iowa (July 12), Innsbrook Pavilion in Glen Allen, Va. (July 16), Charter One Pavilion at Northerly Island in Chicago (July 19), Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia (July 25), Pier Six Pavilion in Baltimore (July 27) and Koka Booth Amphitheatre at Regency Park in Cary, N.C. (July 31).

As several stops on the tour, the bands will take turns playing special late night sets.

After parties include STS9 at the Barrymore Theatre in Madison, Wis. (July 10), House of Blues in Chicago (July 19) and the Blender Theatre at Gramercy in New York City and Umphrey’s McGee at The Fillmore – TLA in Philadelphia (July 25) and the Lincoln Square Theatre in Raleigh, N.C. (July 31).

Tickets for some shows go on sale at Ticketmaster.com beginning April 18.
