California punks
The Offspring will hit the road next week in anticipation of their upcoming release,
Hammerhead.
The band kicks off a run of festivals May 16 at 91X X-Fest at Qualcomm Stadium at Jack Murphy Field in San Diego and, so far, is scheduled to hit events in the U.S. and Europe through August.
Stops include KJEE Summer Round Up at the Santa Barbara Bowl in California (May 18), Electric Weekend at Auditorio John Lennon in Madrid (May 30), Rock Im Park at Zepppelinfeld in Nuremberg, Germany (June 8), Download Festival at Donnington Park in Castle Donnington, U.K. (June 14), Volt Festival in Sporon, Hungary (July 5), Rockwave Festival in Athens, Greece (July 8) and Virgin Mobile Festival at Pimlico Race Track in Baltimore (August 9).
Additional dates are expected.
Hammerhead, due June 17, was recorded with producer Bob Rock.
A special gatefold vinyl edition of the album with access to a free download will be released in addition to CD and digital versions.
