Sweden Rock Splits With Skrikhult

The year-long partnership between Sweden Rock and Skrikhult Production has come to an end because the two Sölvesborg-based companies have mutually agreed it isn’t working.

Although Ingolf Persson continued to book the annual Sweden Rock Festival, which broke its attendance record when 32,500 per day turned up to this year’s event, Olof Wikström moved his Skrikhult Production agency into the festival office and the two formed a joint-venture touring company.

Trading under the name of Sweden Rock Productions, Wikström booked national tours for metal acts including Nightwish, Moonspell, Deathstars, Sabaton, Hanoi Rocks, Amon Amarth and The 69 Eyes, while the festival provided the office space, company infrastructure and marketing support.

Having evaluated this cooperation, both parties have come to a mutual decision to go their separate ways.

Sweden Rock will put the booking enterprising on ice for the time being to focus on the festival and its related endeavours, plus Sweden Rock Magazine and Sweden Rock Shop.

Skrikhult will continue working with booking arrangements and execute all announced concerts as scheduled, in its own right and under its own name.
