Sting Returns To The Labyrinth
With The Police reunion tour behind him, Sting will return to the music of the 16th Century with an Asian tour in support of his album Songs from the Labyrinth, a tribute to the songs of Elizabethan composer John Dowland.
The trek features a three-night stand at Orchard Hall in Tokyo (December 16-18) and a stop at Festival Hall in Osaka (December 20).
Joining the singer for the tour are lutenist Edin Karamazov and British a cappella choir Stile Antico, who were featured on all European performances of Songs.
Sting fan club members will be able to participate in a special presale beginning June 23 at Sting.com.
To accompany the upcoming tour, Deutsche Grammophon will release a special edition of Songs which features three bonus tracks: lute versions of “Fields of Gold” and “Message in a Bottle” and a live version of “Have You Seen the Bright Lily Grow” recorded in New York City in 2006.
