It will be a family affair in more ways than one, as Los Lonely Boys – literally a band of brothers – join up with one of the genre’s most highly acclaimed groups in Los Lobos.

The Brotherhood Tour will see them hit medium-sized venues including sheds, theatres and winery gigs through August 14 when they wind down at Central Park’s Summerstage in New York City.

In between, they’ll stop in major and secondary markets including at Cuthbert Amphitheatre in Eugene, Ore.; Mountain Winery in Saratoga, Calif.; the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles; the Fillmore in Denver; Ravinia Festival in Highland, Ill.; the Meadow Brook Music Festival in Rochester Hills, Mich.; and the Filene Center at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Va.

Los Angeles-based Los Lobos rose to fame with its T Bone Burnett-produced 1984 debut, How Will The Wolf Survive? and its performance of “La Bamba” in the Richie Valens biopic of the same name in 1987. It’s only been an upward trajectory for the band since then, with critical accolades for more recent albums such as 2004’s The Ride and last year’s The Town and the City.

Los Lonely Boys, comprising brothers Henry, JoJo and Ringo Garza, bring a more TexMex than traditional sensibility to its music. Hailing from San Angelo, Texas, the trio burst on the scene in 2004 with its eponymous major label debut, winning a Grammy for best performance by a duo or group with vocal the next year for their hit “Heaven.”
