Hard Rockin’ Yankees

The Hard Rock Café will have a home in the new House That Ruth Built. The New York Yankees baseball club and Florida’s Seminole Tribe announced a partnership that will open a branch of the chain and a restaurant when the rebuilt Yankee Stadium opens next year.

In addition to the Hard Rock Café, the tribe plans to open a new restaurant called NYY Steak, which the Seminoles plan to franchise in other locations, according to the Miami Herald.

Tribal Council member Max Osceola, Seminole Gaming CEO Jim Allen and Yankees reps converged on home plate inside the still under-construction stadium June 18th to make the announcement.

"The Yankees are the most recognizable and most valuable sports franchise in the world," Allen was quoted by the Herald. "When you’re partnered with the Yankees, there’s nobody better. … This is a true testament to the credibility and financial strength of the tribe."

The announcement comes as the Seminoles expand their gambling empire with the June 22nd opening of house-banked table games including blackjack and baccarat at the Hard Rock Casino near Hollywood, Fla., according to the paper.
