The Tony-award winning singer kicks off the next leg of her tour July 17 at the James K. Polk Theater in Nashville and will hit cities across the country through mid-August.

Venues on the itinerary include Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta (July 18), McGlohon Theatre in Charlotte, N.C. (July 21), Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (July 25), The Pageant in St. Louis (August 1), House of Blues in Chicago (August 6), Newman Center for the Performing Arts in Denver (August 12) and The Wiltern in Los Angeles (August 15).

Menzel first gained the public’s attention with her role in the Broadway smash “Rent.”

In 2003, her turn as Elphaba, better known as the Wicked Witch of the West, in the musical adaptation of Gregory Maguire’s Wicked scored her a leading-actress Tony.

Stand, which features pop songs and ballads instead of show tunes, was written by the singer and produced by Glen Ballard.
