The band will launch Neverender, an event that will see all four of its concept albums played in their entirety live over four nights, October 22 at New York City’s Terminal 5 with a performance of The Second Stage Turbine Blade.

Consecutive nights will feature performances of In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3; Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness and Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow.

A second set of shows will take place November 5-8 at The Avalon in Los Angeles.

Tickets go on sale July 18 at Ticketmaster.com.

Coheed and Cambria decided on the residencies as a way to close the book on the story that’s been in the band’s life since 2002.

“Neverender came about because the band wanted to celebrate the end of the Coheed and Cambria saga in a special way,” frontman Claudio Sanchez said. “We wanted to come up with an idea that paid proper respect to this phase of our career, while at the same time gave our fans something truly unique and different.

“Many of these songs have never been played in front of an audience before so I think we’re going to be freaking out at the same time our fans are. It’s going to be a major challenge.”

Sanchez also hinted at what’s next for the band.

“We’re really looking forward to going deep and revisiting not only the songs, but also the story. Interestingly enough, us going over all the old material seems to be influencing our writing of the next record, which we’re sort of doing simultaneously. And to me, that seems apropos since the next story is the prequel to The Amory Wars.”
