T.I.’s Club Troubles

T.I. nearly found himself in a tough spot when an altercation broke out at an Atlanta club recently, forcing the rapper to leave a scheduled appearance to comply with the terms of an earlier plea agreement.

The scuffle, which reportedly did not include the rapper, broke out in the Luckie Food Lounge. T.I. was quickly out the door with his court-ordered monitor, attorney Steve Sadow told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

T.I.’s monitor accompanies him at all times and reports any incidents to federal court officials, Sadow told the paper. The rapper also abides by a strict curfew that allows him to appear at events like the club gig as long as he is home by 1 a.m.

Last year T.I. was arrested on charges of making an illegal weapons purchase just hours before he was to receive two honors at the BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta.

T.I. pleaded guilty in March to federal weapons charges and made a plea agreement that requires him to complete at least 1,000 hours of community service speaking to youth about the dangers of guns and gangs. He also faces as much as a year in jail.
