Metallica’s Box Office Record

Dmitry Zaretsky of SAV Entertainment reckons the July 18 Metallica show the company co-promoted at St. Petersburg SKK Arena has broken a box office record by selling out so far in advance.

The original 25,000 capacity was sold nearly five weeks before the show and, due to staging company JSA being able to shift the production back, a further 4,000 tickets were made available.

The show, which was a co-promotion with Live Nation Sweden and St. Petersburg-based Planet Plus, continues a busy summer for SAV, which has already included dates with Mark Knopfler, Joe Cocker, KISS, Bob Dylan, Jennifer Lopez, Lenny Kravitz and Travis.
