Best Buy’s New Beat

With slowing revenues from CDs and DVDs, Best Buy is heading behind the music with a venture that will see as many as 85 musical instrument centers open within existing stores around the country.

The centers, which will feature musical instruments, accessories and group music lessons, are expected to use about 2,500 square feet in each location.

The rollout will reportedly make Best Buy the second-largest instrument seller in the U.S. in terms of locations.
