Albrecht Leaves IMG Global

Chris Albrecht, former chief exec of HBO, has left talent agency IMG Global Media after a year at the company.

Albrecht was supposed to help turn the agency, known for representing athletes like Tiger Woods and Roger Federer, into a media powerhouse, according to the New York Times.

However, a burst in the private equity bubble and internal strife may have led to his quick exit, the paper said.

Albrecht is expected to return to Foresee Entertainment, a content creation, development and distribution company that he formed.
