Rolling Stone Shrinks

Publisher Jann Wenner announced that with the October 31 issue, Rolling Stone will shrink from folio to the standard newsstand size.

RS is expected to switch to heavier, glossier paper allowing for a sleeker design, and will be glued rather than stapled, according to the New York Times.

While many publications have shaved down their page sizes to save money, the Rolling Stone makeover will be more expensive to publish, according to the Times.
