The duo will descend on unwitting communities this month as part of the Volcom 2008 Tour, with Airbourne, Valient Thorr and Year Long Disaster completing the rotating lineup.

The trek launched September 2 at House of Blues in Anaheim, Calif., with Motörhead, Valient Thorr and Year Long Disaster and wraps September 22 at Stone Pony in Asbury Park, N.J., with Motörhead, Misfits, Valient Thorr and Year Long Disaster.

Other stops on the itinerary include Fillmore Auditorium in Denver (September 6), Orpheum Theatre in Madison, Wis. (September 10), Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio (September 14) and Electric Factory in Philadelphia (September 19).

The Misfits’ assault on North America doesn’t end with the Volcom Tour. The band has a full schedule that will see it on the road through the end of the year, with stops including Detroit, Toronto, Seattle, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston and Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Meanwhile, the E.U. will get a full dose of Motörhead madness with a trek that also stretches into December.

Targets in the band’s sights include Dublin, Ireland and Ipswich, Glasgow, Cardiff, Bristol, Norwich and London in the U.K., as well as cities in The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
