A major gatekeeper in the music business has changed jobs.
And this time, it’s not an agent; it’s one of the best-known assistants in the industry. Germaine Lathouwers, who worked with William Morris Agency head of worldwide music Peter Grosslight for 15 years, started working as Tony Dimitriades’ executive assistant at East End Management September 2.
Lathouwers joined Grosslight about two years after Triad merged with WMA, just in time to see Grosslight/WMA get the Eagles’ “Hell Freezes Over” tour, which led to a major jump in the department’s profile.
East End’s clients, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Billy Idol, are also WMA clients, so Lathouwers is “thrilled” she still gets to work with her friends back at the office. She’s also told Pollstar she is thrilled she has a three-minute commute, rather than 45 minutes.
