Kansas Casino Suitor Chosen

A review board recently picked Kansas Entertainment – a partnership formed between the Kansas Speedway and Cordish Co. – to build and manage a state-owned casino in Wyandotte County.

The Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board picked the proposal over a plan from Golden Gaming of Las Vegas.

Also in the running was Legends Sun, a group involving the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut.

Pinnacle Entertainment withdrew its application to manage the casino but gave no reason for its decision.
