Mermaid Suit Dropped

A New York City judge has dismissed a woman’s $3 million lawsuit against Sean Combs and Vibe magazine claiming a 2003 topless photo of her published in the magazine violated her right to privacy.

Vibe ran a photo of three pasty-wearing women in a pool that accompanied a 2006 feature about Combs’ annual, star-studded White Party in East Hampton, with the caption “Mermaids Gone Wild.”

Maria Kristina Dominguez, a hedge fund money manager, claimed she never gave permission for her image to be published and that it wasn’t newsworthy.

The judge disagreed, saying the photo was related to an issue of public interest and Dominguez had no right to privacy while frolicking topless at the party.
