Lollapalooza producer C3 Presents may be bringing another party to Chicago next month, according to Jim DeRogatis of the Chicago Sun-Times.

The Windy City pop music writer reports that the Austin-based company has been tapped to stage a massive presidential election night party for Sen. Barack Obama in Grant Park Nov. 4.

Dubbed “Obamapalooza” by DeRogatis, the party and C3 Presents’ involvement were confirmed to him by several sources connected to the production, though neither the Obama campaign nor C3’s spokeswoman would comment.

On the other side of the political divide, Sen. John McCain will probably not appear at his own election-night bash at the Biltmore Hotel in Phoenix.

The Republican presidential nominee plans to address another group of supporters and a small contingent of reporters on the hotel lawn, and aides to the candidate say the remarks will be piped into the hotel’s ballroom.
