Some promoters lament that the credit crunch and Australian dollar’s drop from 98 cents to 64 cents against the U.S. dollar is squeezing profit margins and drying up superstar tours.

Paul McCartney, Neil Diamond and Green Day have apparently delayed visits until late 2009.

But two promoters are looking at Madonna for 2009’s first quarter, to be followed by Slash, Jeff Beck and Journey.
